Default Three profession skills at once well kind of???.

Maybe this has been mentioned before as a bug but last night I was doing all of the 2nd profession quests in Factions for my Elementalist. I usually do them in the same order to save time. A weird thing happed that I have never noticed before. I went and did the monk quest grabbing the berries. While doing it I put on the retribution enchantment then I went and did the Ranger quest followed by the Assassin quest then finally the Mesmer quest. The whole time after changing secondary skills retribution stayed on. Granted it did not have any attribute points so it was pretty much useless, but it was pretty cool as it lasted. It fixed itself as soon as I zoned to a new location.

Yeah that's not a bug, it's just an interesting effect.

Something else similar is taking the ranger quest and then switching out. You will still have your pet until you zone. I'm not sure if this works in cantha, but it does it Tyria.

Yeah, I did this once with a W/Me that had Inspired Enchantment. Gave myself Mending off of some enemy in the Northern Shiverpeaks. It was hilarious, and just like you said it lasted until the next zone.

The Ranger pet trick still works in Cantha, useful in the situation described by the OP. Take Charm and then replace it with the new skill given but keep the pet, since you do so little zoning in these quest you can keep a pet for free throughout them.

However, and not as amusing, after later changing my secondary profession to Monk I no longer have retribution, I do still have Resurrect which I got from the same quest.
